Gayle McLaughlin Fundraiser

April 21, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Gayle McLaughlin is running for Lt. Governor. She was the mayor of Richmond who took on Chevron following the massive explosion at their refinery in 2012. She has a new book out called Winning Richmond:

A California Bay area city long ruled by its huge Chevron oil refinery become an award winning “Green & Clean” community. How did they do it? They won City Hall thanks to the power of the people, who organized a Progressive alliance on the grassroots level to seize political power and to fight the entrenched corporate interests, inspired by the wisdom of the original Americans who first settled in the Bay area. Gayle McLaughlin was at the center of that long-term struggle, organizing meetings, going door-to-door campaigning for City Council and eventually, serving as Mayor of Richmond California. This is her story. This is Richmond’s story.

Come out to meet her at a fundraiser to bring her progressive environmentalism to the rest of California! The fundraiser is hosted by TRAA’s own Donna Tarr. Parking is easy, refreshments will be served, and there’s no cost to attend. (But it’s a fundraiser, so if you feel moved, donate!)

If you attend, please RSVP with Donna (donnatarr777@gmail.com) so she has a head count for the party.
